Normalmente, os posts no blogue são feitos por ordem cronológica — o primeiro casamento do ano é o primeiro a ser postado, e por aí adiante. Mas a verdade é que, ao entregar este casamento, na semana passada, fiquei com uma vontade enorme de o transformar num post — e optei por agarrar essa vontade e publicar. Espero que os meus outros noivinhos me perdoem, e que saibam que os seus posts estão a caminho, também!
O casamento da Maria João e do Nelson foi especial por vários motivos — foi um dos primeiros que eu reservei para este ano, e assim que eles me disseram que ia ser num celeiro, eu senti-me quase a implorar para o fotografar. E a verdade é que ia com uma fezada imensa: a cerimónia foi na igreja de Aldoar, onde os meus avós e os meus pais casaram; o padre foi o mesmo que me baptizou; a noiva tinha um dos vestidos mais bonitos que eu já vi, era super relaxada e o noivo é Portista ferrenho (como eu), o que faz com que eu me divirta imenso; a Quinta da Eira é linda de morrer.
E por isso mesmo, a fezada revelou-se acertada. Foi um casamento lindíssimo, divertidíssimo, e cheio de momentos emocionantes. E eu acho que isso se nota na fotografia.
Espero que gostem tanto deste casamento como eu!

Normally, I blog in chronological order: the first wedding is the first to be blogged, and so on. But the truth is that after I delivered this wedding, last week, I got an itch to post. So I decided to run with it and enjoy this will to share it — and I hope my other couples can forgive me, but their posts are on their way!
I went into Maria João and Nelson's wedding filled with hope that it would be amazing. From the moment they told me, during our first meeting, that the wedding would be in a barn, I had to control myself in order not to beg for them to let me photograph it. And the truth is, it paid off: the church was the same where my parents and grandparents got married; the priest was the same one who baptized me; the bride had one of the most beautiful gowns I've ever seen and was super relaxed, and the groom is a mad Porto fan — which is always a plus and nearly guarantees a good time; the Quinta da Eira is one of the most beautiful venues I've ever photographed in.
So the faith I had in this wedding turned out to be righteous. It was a beautiful, emotional, fun wedding! And I hope you like seeing it as much as I loved being a part of it. :)
