For a while, I thought I could only capture weddings in one way.
In my mind, I had to pick a path, and stay on it: be the photographer who focuses only on making art with the couple, or the one who takes the photojournalistic approach and just captures the day. Be the one who creates epic portraits, or be the one who gathers joy. It was never an AND, it was always an OR, and I have to admit that it hurt my heart, a little bit.
Right now, I know that I can be both. It took years of photographing, of seeing works outside of my own, of learning from the right people — for me to understand that I don't have to choose. I can give you beauty AND joy. I can make art with you, and make your party look happy and fun. I can give you the chiaroscuro of emotions that I so love to see.
I'm starting to fill up my 2024 season, and I want you to know that I'm here, and I'd love to tell your story. I'd love for you to be one of the select couples I accompany each year. And I'd love to make the most mundane of details extraordinary — with you.

Durante algum tempo, achei que só podia fotografar casamentos de uma maneira.
Na minha cabeça, tinha que escolher um caminho e mantê-lo: ser a fotógrafa que se foca em fazer arte com os noivos, ou ser a foto-jornalista que deixa o dia acontecer. Ser a que faz arte OU a que regista alegria. Nunca foi um 'e', foi sempre um 'ou', e isso chateava-me um bocadinho, tenho que admitir.
Agora consigo ver que faço ambos. Levou anos de trabalho, de sair da bolha e ver artistas fora do meu círculo, de me rodear das pessoas certas — para eu perceber que não tenho que escolher. Consigo dar-vos beleza E alegria; consigo fazer arte convosco e ao mesmo tempo, registar o vosso dia de uma forma que mostre a felicidade e a boa disposição. Posso dar-vos o chiaroscuro de emoções que tanto gosto de ver em fotografias ou pinturas.
Estou a começar a fechar datas na minha época de 2024, e gostava que soubessem que estou aqui, e que adorava contar a vossa história. Adorava que fossem um dos casais a fazer parte da dúzia que fotografo, a cada ano. E adorava fazer dos detalhes mais mundanos — coisas extraordinárias. Convosco.
